Geoenvironmental Engineer

I am a Chartered Geologist with over 20 years’ experience in the contaminated land sector with a focus on integrated geotechnical and environmental site assessments and development of remediation/redevelopment strategies.  In recent years I have focused on solving the most challenging environmental and ground related problems including expert witness experience related to determining and valuing land.   I have also continued to work on more routine sites, as workload dictates, and still write and/or review all types of report from desk studies through to remediation options appraisals.  My wide range of skills has meant that I am suited to solving all types of ground related problem.

As well as the more traditional geotechnical and environmental assessments I can offer more specialist services including abnormal development costs, waste characterisation, asbestos in soil, volatile organic compound assessment and landfill redevelopment assessment.

In my previous roles I have worked on a range of different projects including four that have won industry awards.  I have demonstrable experience of my skill base including acting as an expert witness with respect to ground related abnormal costs and working on the Environment Agency waste crime project.

My primary aim is to provide consulting advice to other established consultancies.  However, in my past roles I have worked for developers, contractors, regulators, manufacturers, industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical and petroleum clients.
